U.S. Solders need Canada's help
This is from the ceasefire.ca website. It's nice to see Canadians take action on behalf of U.S. solders. It seems that a military draft will ba a harsh reality that I along with my peers will have to face at some point. I have been thinking of how to move to Canada for some time now. I would also check out the ceasefire website and send a letter to ablolish nuclear arms.
More than 1,500 U.S. soldiers have been killed fighting George W. Bush’s illegal invasion of Iraq and defending his illegal occupation. Falsely recruited, under-trained, poorly-equipped and mistreated by the military leadership, these young soldiers died too soon.
In America, parents whose children signed-up for a chance at a better future now live in dread of orders for Iraq. The families of soldiers whose tours have been unfairly extended once and even twice are suffering needlessly.
Canada can be a sanctuary from war and aggression. Please write to Prime Minister Paul Martin and urge him to accept U.S. soldiers who request admission to Canada.
